Our store is a full service bead store located in the heart of the historic downtown of beautiful Ventura, California. Over the last several years the City of Ventura has made enormous strides in revitalizing the downtown core and it is has become a popular destination for weekend vacation travellers and out of state tourists especially during the summer. We have been at the forefront during this period, investing and believing in the project, and our store has grown beyond all our expectations. We believe that there is no better bead store anywhere in Southern California but please, come and see for yourself!

A word about us ... The store is owned by Steve and Juana Jelen who opened the first Peruvian Bead Co. Store 14 years ago. We moved into our current home in 1996 and have worked ever since to make it into what it is today. We began working with beads during a year spent living in Spain and have been devoted to them ever since. Juana has since become a nationally known Designer of outstanding beadwork with many projects published in Bead and Button Magazine over the last several years. Her current passion is the exciting and versatile new media, PMC and she's working on several new workshops for the upcoming class session. Steve runs our sister business, Pacific Silverworks, which designs and manufactures high qulaity clasps, components and other useful elements for Jewelry Designers in the U.S. and around the world.
